New England weather patterns as erratic as Knights/Bruins play. Ok maybe a jump from -10* to 55* then back to -7* in a 2 day period is a little more extreme than the Knights or the Bruins inability to show up for three full periods of consistent hockey. The Knights travelled to Cape last week and absolutely dominated the first period. An inability to hit the net, lack of consistent physical pressure from the Knights and a few lucky breaks for the Capers ended up giving them the game. Saturday the Knights regrouped and put forth a good system based effort against the Mustangs with many players getting valuable ice time. The Knights also had their first fine dining experience of the season together at the Biddo Wendys. Goalies provided pushup entertainment. Coach Mik didn't wear a tie and was forced to pay for his fast food. This week the Knights take on the Scots of Bonny Eagle at home. The Scots gave the Knights their first playoff win in history last season when the two teams last met. They will be coming for vengeance. |
